The Alliance française South Florida, a licensed testing partner of the Goethe-Institute of New York is offering German language courses at its Miami location.

Standard courses are organized in 4 levels following the Common European Framework of Reference for languages: beginner, intermediate, advanced and expert. Each level is divided into steps and each step is covered in one session of 33 hours. These courses are scheduled over 11 weeks according to the following session dates.     More

In addition to standard courses, individual and small group instruction classes, tailoredto your needs, are also offered. Classes can be held either at the Alliance or on site.

Absolute beginners with no prior knowledge of German should register for elementary German A1. Learners with prior knowledge of German should contact us to determine which level is appropriate.

PROFICIENCY EXAMS
The Goethe Language Exams “Start-A1” and “Start-A2” can be taken at the Alliance francaise of Miami.

Start Deutsch A1
Participants can:
• understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases intended to serve basic needs of a concrete type;
• introduce him/herself and others and can ask and answer personal information questions such as where he/she lives, people he/ she knows and things he/she has;
• interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help.

Start Deutsch A2
Participants can:
• understand sentences and commonly used expressions associated with topics directly related to his/her direct circumstances (e.g. personal information or information about his/her family,shopping, work, immediate surroundings).
• make him/herself understood in simple, routine situations dealing with a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and common topics.
• describe his/her background and education, immediate surroundings and other things associated with immediate needs in a simple way.

Certificates issued by the Goethe-Institute are recognized throughout the world.
