Calle 8 is both the most American of Cuban streets and the most Cuban of American streets. It is home to a unique community who needs to constantly adjust between different cultures.
Insatiable travelers of this modern world, the people of Calle 8, remind us all of the permanence of our own culture and the sadness of a world gone. Nostalgic and lively while at the same time dramatic and funny.
Calle 8 is an artist's dream: an urban street where humanity fights back and thrives.

8 artists from different backgrounds, working on different media will present this very familiar place from their diverse perspectives.

The essence of Calle 8 will be explored past the cliches and prejudices. People, politics, business and culture will be shown anew through different media: photography, installation, painting, video, and sculpture.
